How to Remove a Watermark from an Image

Watermark Remover lets you paint over a watermark with your mouse or finger. When you lift the brush, the tool rebuilds the covered area from the surrounding texture. A sensitivity slider controls how faint a mark gets removed, and a heavy mode erases everything under the brush for solid marks.

It works best on light or semi-transparent watermarks over fairly even backgrounds. Busy, detailed backgrounds are harder, so results vary with the image.

  1. Drop an image onto the page or choose a file.
  2. Set the brush size and the watermark sensitivity.
  3. Paint over the watermark in short strokes.
  4. Use Undo last stroke if needed, then click Download image.

Only remove watermarks from images that you own or have permission to edit. Removing a mark from someone else's work may break copyright or licensing terms. The processing happens locally in your browser and the image is not uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Does it remove every watermark?

No. It works best on light or semi-transparent marks over uniform backgrounds. Dark, solid or complex marks may leave visible traces.

Can I undo a mistake?

Yes. Undo last stroke reverses the previous brush stroke, and Reset image returns to the original.

Is it allowed to remove any watermark?

Only on images you own or are permitted to edit. Watermarks on other people's work are there for a reason, so respect copyright.
